So in the process of printing slotting and post-crimping, what factors can cause inaccurate size, and how to avoid it?

1. The tightness of the base paper is not good, that is, the base paper is relatively loose and shrinks severely by heat, resulting in warping and deformation of the cardboard. This is also one of the reasons for the inaccurate size.

Excessive moisture or warping of raw materials and corrugated cardboard is also a cause of inaccurate dimensions that cannot be ignored.Under normal circumstances, the moisture of corrugated cardboard is basically about 10% to 14%, but if the moisture of corrugated cardboard is 14% to 18% or higher, it will be more humid.

If the cardboard is printed, slotted and die-cut directly after it is offline, the size is more accurate.However, after a period of time, when the water disperses and the moisture content is less than 10%, the cardboard will shrink, the overall cardboard size will become smaller, and the size of each part will be different.1m long cardboard will shrink by 4mm-6mm.

Therefore, it is important to master the moisture content of paper and cardboard.Use a fast moisture meter to measure the moisture content of each batch of cardboard, and arrange the printing, slotting and die-cutting time according to the moisture.If the water content is too large, the cardboard should be placed for 4 hours after being offline, and then dried naturally before proceeding to the next production process.The moisture content of general delivery is 10%±2.

This is also the reason why carton companies generally produce accurate sizes, but the size becomes smaller after being placed under natural conditions for a period of time.

2. Incorrect production size or incorrect adjustment during order replacement leads to inaccurate carton size, which is mainly caused by the carelessness of the operator.Careful inspection in normal production can avoid this problem.
